Disadvantages in Politics Autonomous regions within a country are not bound by the same laws as the country. They may make their own laws as long as the laws are in compliance with the agreement or treaty they made with the country. A major disadvantage of a rule is that it is not a good tool for measuring larger objects or distances that are greater than about a yard or meter.
